Villa Artist in Residency Cat Gilbert presents evocative studies of the art, flora and architecture of the Villa Terrace in "A Different Kind of Garden" opening June 8. During her residency, Gilbert studied the design motifs, textures, and colors found throughout the Villa Terrace to create paintings, cyanotypes and sculptural arrangements. The pieces were inspired by the Villa’s gardens, the historic home’s interior elements (including tiles and fabrics) and Cyril Colnik’s ironworks. "A Different Kind of Garden" will be on view June 8 through Sept. 24, 2023.
